T-Mobile has got all the moves for the Royal Wedding. Their recently released video features a great take off on the Royal Wedding party entrance. From Camilla's bump to dashing Harry's gymnastics, they have got it going on! Visit You Tube to see for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kav0FEhtLug
With over 4 million viewers already watching the entrance at the "house of love" this could actually surpass the number of actual wedding viewers by the time the day rolls around in just under 2 weeks now.
Let's just hope that Kate and Will have as much fun as their look-alikes. And, by the way, I now understand the whole Charles and Camilla thing!

ROYAL MADNESS AND A MAGICAL MARCH
When my boys asked me why in the world would I want to fly across the ocean and join a throng of thousands (or millions) just to get a chance to be a part of the Royal Wedding I tried to equate it to something they could understand; I said, it's like Dad going to the NCAA regional tournament each year. It's something to see and a be a part of - it is history in the making. They didn't get it at that time but being part of something much larger than yourself is truly coming alive for all of us in Richmond Virginia as our hometown college and my alma mater, Virginia Commonwealth University is on the road to the Final Four.
The closest thing to royalty in the United States right now is a basketball coach by the name of Shaka Smart. Shaka is just 33 years old and is in his first major coaching position. An intelligent and strategic coach, he is inspiring these Ram players to live the dream. Having made it through a grueling 5 tournament games (a new record in NCAA) to reach the Final Four, the Rams are now poised to truly shine in the moment.
And just like Kate Middleton, he and the team are living the stuff that fairy tales are made of today. VCU has advanced to the Final Four of NCAA basketball. This from a team who lost 11 home games and was the butt of many jokes just 2 weeks ago when they were selected for the tournament.
Magic does happen every day and we should all grab a piece of it wherever we can!

THE BRITISH ARE COMING
Paul Revere isn't riding down the lane but my tweets and blog indicate that the British are coming...not by land and not be sea but via social media. It seems that the Brits are amazed at the overwhelming interest we Americans have in the Royal Wedding (I wonder if the Brits call us Americans by another name?) They appear amused at our overwhelming interest in the the magic of the marriage to be. Could it be that the last generation of matrimonial royalty have cast a pall over the English translation?
We don't have royalty in the colonies and we seem to be sorely lacking on national idols so what could be better than a Royal Wedding? Bieber Fever is great but doesn't appeal to the masses. Especially at a time like this, the promise of pomp and the notion of romance, allow everyone to focus on the frivolous instead of nagging about the negative. It gives us the opportunity to regale in the regal. Most of us don't know the difference between a dame and a damsel but we do know a classy lassie when we see one. And the notion of Prince Charming is charming well beyond our storybook years.
So bring it on Brits! Show us your best hats and remind us of our royal roots. And, although we won the Revolution you win this one!

I AM SAD I AM
I am sad
I am
So sad not to get an invite
It just seems wrong, not right
I do not want to stand on the side
I want to be able to see the bride
Kanye gets to go
But Michelle was a no
What about that Uncle Gary
Could be fun with him and Harry
Fergie I can understand
But Nick and Carla are banned
I am sad
I am
That Posh Spice will be there
And Chelsy Davy with her pretty hair
Nineteen hundred and I am not one
That is not nice, that is not fun!
Wouldn’t you like me in Buck House
I would be quiet as a mouse
Won’t you please rethink
And at least invite me for a drink
So please be ever so sweet
@royalcrasher the invite you can tweet.

KATE SHARES A BIRTHDAY WITH THE KING - ELVIS
According to several posts I have seen, today is Kate's birthday and it is also the birthday of American royalty, Elvis Presley. Let's see what they both have in common (without the use of 104,000 astrological charts readily available on the internet):
- They were both born to commoners
- They were from small villages
- Both are the oldest child (Elvis the only)
- Their mothers both chew(ed) gum in public
- They both live or will live in the most visited private homes in their countries
- They double-dated with cousins
- They are both fashion icons
- They both dated their spouses for 7 years prior to engagement
- They both became engaged shortly before Christmas
- Kate will be married on April 29th; Elvis and Priscilla married on May 1
- They both shake their booties
The more things change, the more they remain the same.

The Mad Hatter is Fascinating!
It appears that the fashion trend for the Royal Wedding will include lots of fascinators. "A fascinator is a headpiece, a style of millinery. The word originally referred to a fine, lacy head covering akin to a shawl and made from wool or lace." The definition, from Wikipedia, could also describe what I had to wear to church through my formative Catholic years. However, it would be appear that haute couture will soon be arriving to our shores.
However, as we have seen from the Royal family (as well as our own American royals) the fascinator may appear more appropriate on a movie set than in a cathedral. Certainly Princess Bea
appears to have pollinated. It's probably a good thing that Monarch butterflies normally have a life span of only 2 months in a garden with sufficient nectar. I would hope that her fascinator has now migrated!
My Christmas wish list did include a fascinator and my good friend, Cathy Dyer, surprised me with a Winter Wonderland fascinator to call my own:

Obviously I will need a Spring version for the Royal wedding...hint! hint! Perhaps my friends could have a fascinating fascinator contest. Since I am no longer allowed to use a hot glue gun I must rely on my more crafty friends for their creations.
